Austone Machinery Services was established in 1997 by Paul & Dale Harriott.  Paul has been working in the stone industry for 25 years and has installed and/or serviced most of the stone working machinery on the world market.  Initially trained by technicians of Carl Meyer, Bisso, Breton  and Pellegrini, Paul was involved in the setting up of machinery and constant maintenance and operations of the factory at Granites of Australia.  This experience led him to seek out what he regards to be the finest machinery for cutting and polishing marble, granite, sandstone and engineered stone and make it available to the Australasian market .
 
Austone has chosen to represent  Canigo, a Catalan (Spanish) company that manufacture, what we believe to be the fastest and most precise bridge saws on the market.  Canigo machines are truly technologically advanced but at the same time  very simple to operate. Their extensive range of machinery includes site saws, bridge saws, block saws, diamond wire saws, tile lines and Jenny Lind polishers with the option always available to design and manufacture special requirement machinery.  This option has been used by fibre cement companies and Canigo have created unique machines to undertake the requirements of these companies to cut fibre cement sheeting with outstanding results.
 
Austone also represents  Montresor, an Italian company manufacturing the worlds finest edge polishing machines.  An extensive range of line polishing machines for the polish of square edge, bullnose and external shaped edging, large and small, this company prides itself on quality of workmanship and state of the art inclusions in all of their machines.  Our clients who have purchased Montresor polishers report fast and brilliant results using these machines.

As with each of the above mentioned companies, Canigo and Montresor , we are happy to bring to your attention that each company was born into the stone industry and have spent their time making innovations into that specific industry.  Unlike some other companies that have perhaps started in the wood or glass industry and deviated into stone, the companies that Austone chooses to represent are those that were established in the stone industry, have a  great understanding for it but  overall have a passion for the stone industry.
 
Over the years, Austone has evolved and now has available to it's customers, products such as vacuum lifting equipment, materials handling solutions, water recycling systems, dust extraction units, abrasives and selected diamond tools for example.  Services such as consultancy for factory layouts and complete factory set ups -  to sourcing difficult to get parts or specified oils etc are all offered through Austone Machinery Services.  If required, we can also put our purchasers in contact with finance agents familiar with machinery financing and we can arrange insurance and freight from door to door.
 
Paul regularly attends the international stone working Fairs to keep up to date with the newest innovations.  He has undergone training with both Canigo and Montresor and continues to revise his technical knowledge regularly.
